Corporate Governance

Executive Directors

President – Mr. P. Alghali: Mr. Alghali is an Alumnus of Jacksonville University in Florida. He possesses several years of management and leadership experiences in the telecommunications and support services industries. Mr. Alghali is the Co-owner and Co-proprietor of AHSAP Support Services.

Secretary – Mr. A. K. Mahdi, CPA, FCCA, MBA: Mr. Mahdi is a Certified Public Accountant, a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants with over twenty years of combined accounting and auditing experiences. He has worked for a number of fortune 500 corporations in the life insurance, bio-sciences, and furniture industries in the USA.

Treasurer – Mrs. A. Lansana, B.S., MBA: Mrs. Lansana has several years of experience in the mortgage loan industry as Loan Originator. She is the proprietor of Sylvan Academy, an elementary school in Banjul, Gambia. Mrs. Lansana also holds a Master of Business Administration degree.

Social Secretary – Mr. I. Koroma, A.S.: Mr. Koroma holds an Associate Degree in Science and is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree at the NC A&T University. He is an aspiring Pharmacist and has several years of work experience in the health care environment as a Certified Nursing Assistant.

Ex-Officio Member – Mr. R. Roberts:  

Auditor – Ms. J. Sillah, CNA: Ms. Sillah has over fifteen years of management experience in the retail industry. She is a Certified Nursing Assistant and she is currently pursuing her Associate Degree. Her aspiration is to have a career as a registered nurse. Ms. Sillah has received several recognitions for her attention to detail work ethic and dedication.

In-country Representative in Sierra Leone – Professor Dr. A. B. Karim, Ph. D: Dr. Karim is a Professor and former Dean of the Faculty of Sciences of University of Sierra Leone. He earned his doctorate degree in Agroforestry from Oxford University in England. Professor Karim has over 35 years of experience in the educational arena and has served in several leadership capacities in the advancement of education in Sierra Leone. He was also awarded one of the Country’s civic National Awards, the ‘Order of the Rokel’ for his services to education. Dr. Karim is also the Secretary of The Fourah Bay Community Foundation in Sierra Leone. This is a sister organization that was created in 1992 to provide educational and social support to the Fourah Bay community in Sierra Leone.

In April 2023, the Fourah Bay Community Foundation – North Carolina Inc. filed the annual tax exempt Form 990-N for the Financial Year 2022 with the Internal Revenue Service. A copy is available for inspection at the Foundation’s secretariat.
